How to Navigate This Site

At the top of each page, you will see five primary links:

  1. Home
  2. Select Location – This button takes you to an ecoprovincial/ecoregion map of the boreal and taiga regions of Canada from which individual data themes can be viewed and downloaded.  Ecoprovinces displayed in color are completed. Dark gray regions are still in process and expected to be completed by June 1, 2007. Internal links allow you to zoom in and out between ecoprovinces and ecoregions while viewing any topical theme of interest. You can also transfer to neighboring regions easily by using the pointer that appears when you move your curser over the maps and clicking in the direction you want the map frame to move.
  3. Select Topic – This button lists all of the available data themes along with descriptions, metadata, and original data source links.
  4. Download – If you already know the ecoregion and data themes you want to download, simply go to the download button and follow the instructions. At this time, you can only select and download one theme at a time: multiple theme selection will be available in a future update.
  5. Feedback – This button allows you to communicate with us directly.  From this link, you can make a comment, make a request, or report an error. This is a new and complex effort and we value your input.
